On August 28, the first official presentation of Barbados addressed to the Polish tourism industry took place in Warsaw. The meeting, organized by Green House in cooperation with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., opened the practical stage of activities related to building the presence of the Caribbean destination on the Polish market.

Barbados comes to Polish at a good time. Interest in the destination among Polish tourists is clearly growing – in 2025, the island was visited by about 25 thousand Poles, 33% more than the year before. Poland is currently the seventh European market for Barbados and, as the representatives of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. emphasize, it has the potential for further growth.

Meeting with the Polish tourism industry

The Warsaw Business Breakfast brought together representatives of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., tour operators, travel agencies, MICE agencies and industry media. The partner of the event was British Airways.

The meeting was an opportunity to present Barbados not only as a holiday destination, but also as a destination with great potential for group travel, incentive and the MICE segment. BTMI representatives talked about the island’s capabilities, its diverse tourist offer, as well as plans related to the development of its presence on the Polish market.

Equally important as the presentation itself was the opportunity to talk directly with representatives of the Polish industry. Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. wants to develop cooperation with tour operators and travel agencies, to get to know the specifics of our market and the needs of Polish customers better. The current activities are only the beginning of Barbados’ long-term presence in Poland.

From presentation to long-term market presence

For Green House, the Warsaw event was the first stage of a wider project carried out for Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. We are responsible for representing the destination on the Polish market as well as marketing and communication activities aimed at increasing the recognition of Barbados, developing relations with the tourism industry and supporting its presence in the offer addressed to Polish travelers.

The project combines Green House’s competencies in the area of destination marketing, B2B communication, public relations and organization of industry events. The first presentation in Warsaw allowed us to combine image communication with direct contact with the market – and start a conversation about how Barbados can develop its position in Poland.

The first activities also met with the interest of the industry media. The entry of Barbados into the Polish market and the Warsaw presentation were written about, for m.in, Turystyka.rp.pl and Kurier Turystyczny.

This is just the beginning. In the next stages, we will consistently build the recognition of Barbados and develop relations between the destination and the Polish tourism industry.
